The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking fellowship-trained candidates for full-time faculty positions (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in Vascular Interventional Radiology. The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students. This includes conference presentations, tutorial sessions and formal lectures, both within and outside of the Department of Radiology. Faculty are supported by many outstanding clinical, research, and educational resources in the department and organization, including substantial, dedicated expertise in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.
Job Requirements
MD or DO; Successful completion of Fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology. Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Candidates must have strong technical expertise, the ability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and willingness to participate in research and/or teaching. Appointment rank and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Our Department of Radiology is rapidly growing with expanded services at off-site imaging centers, renovations to our existing clinical spaces, and new spaces through the medical center strategic expansion project ($3+ Billion). The Division of IR currently includes 7 IR Radiologists, supported by dedicated NPs, RNs, and RTs, as well as Fellows and Residents. In addition, it currently operates with 6 IR procedure rooms across the OSU University Hospitals and 3 state-of-the-art rooms in the James Cancer Hospital. The IR team performs a myriad of interventional procedures, including interventional oncology, post-transplant interventions, and prostate artery embolization. OSUWMC includes the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, a state-of-the-art NCI-designated cancer-care facility, representing the third largest cancer hospital in the United States and a founding institution of ORIEN. OSUWMC cancer-care is supported by a very active IR-based Interventional Oncology (IO) program functioning within a highly collegial and progressive, multi-disciplinary work group environment and offering a full range of IO procedures (e.g. radio-embolization, chemo-embolization, percutaneous ablations) along with involvement in multiple ongoing trials.

- Main campus: New construction of a state-of-the-art biomedical research tower, hospital tower, ambulatory center and Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine
- Around the city: Two newly designed ambulatory care centers now open (more centers planned for construction in future), in addition to 16 established ambulatory care centers up and running today
