The Chesterfield Observer has the largest circulation (audited at 69,244) of any weekly newspaper in Virginia. Most of the circulation is bulk mailed. The Observer puts its emphasis on hard news when covering Chesterfield, the most populous county in the Richmond, VA market. Chesterfield Monthly was launched in April, 2012 with an audited circulation of 64,321, the largest of any magazine in Central Virginia. Regular features include hard news and feature stories and a long-form interview with a newsmaker. Visit www.chesterfieldmonthly.com.
The privately-held company is owned by Greg Pearson. The company has announced it will launch another monthly magazine (Henrico Monthly) in March of 2013. It will be similar to Chesterfield Monthly with a projected circulation of 50,000.
